Podcast: recovery of Stirling Bomber BK716

I was a guest on the Unconventional Soldier Podcast to share the story of the recovery of the Stirling BK716 in the Netherlands and the importance of the Dutch aircraft recovery programme. We also discuss the Dutch remembrance culture and how the WW2 sacrifices are still relevant today.
Guy Martin’s Lost WW2 Bomber

Guy Martin joins the ambitious recovery of WWII bomber BK716 from a Dutch lake, part of the Dutch National Programme Aircraft Recoveries. Launched in 2019, the programme aims to recover around 30 wartime aircraft, bringing closure to families of missing airmen. BK716’s recovery marks the third such operation, and I was proud to support North One TV Productions as fixer and liaison in telling this story.
